This tanto features a 12.5-inch T10 carbon steel nagasa that has been clay tempered to achieve a natural hamon line visible along the entire edge. The differential hardening process brings the cutting edge to 62 HRC while leaving the spine more flexible, and each blade is manually ground to a refined, hand-finished edge. The steel carries a chrome-like polish that highlights the undulating hamon pattern running from habaki to kissaki.
The full tang handle measures 6.3 inches and is built with a traditional knot-and-paper wrap beneath the tsuka ito. Black polyurethane leather underlays support genuine white samegawa panels, over which dark navy cotton ito is tightly wound in a classic diamond pattern. Gold menuki are placed under the wrap, adding both grip texture and visual detail.
