This is the second unit I purchased from TK ....the
sword is very hard to remove from the saya. The brass
fitting, once it goes into the saya, it becomes almost
imposible to remove without using a screwdriver and excert some torque to it.
Can you send me a UPS label to return and have it replaced..???

Like its companion sword, I bought this one with the intention of using its koshirae on another project. However, when it arrived I found myself rather impressed with the construction. While I'm not a fan of bohi, the blade feels quite solid and has some interesting activity. The fittings are of good quality and the hardwood gives it a unique look. All said, for the money I think this sword is a very good buy!

I usually only do reviews when I have gotten stellar service, or a product I and 100% happy with or I am totally disappointed in. I bought this particular sword for my wife's upcoming grading. I would be ashamed and embarrassed to present this to her. Let's go over the pros. It was packaged very well. It was packaged tight and securely sealed. Next while other places I have shopped swords at have included a nice silk bag, I knew your company didn't so that is no issue. Next it was closed in side of plastic and the blade was wrapped in plastic for the oil on the blade. A nice touch. Fit and finish of the blade to the sword: blade to handle was good but there were some small gaps between the the handle and Saya when closed. Over all the finish of the Saya was nice my biggest issue is the fit of the blade in the Saya, while the habaki holds well the blade rattles and moves very loudly inside the Saya. Not a good fit. It should not be so loose inside. Next the blade. There were some small scratches near the tip of the blade and towards the back k of the blade about 3" from the habiki. The fuller on one side starts thicker at the rear of the blade and gets thinner near the middle and then thicker and back to thinner on one side on the other it starts thinner and gets thicker and gets way closer the the spine. This is very obvious when cleaning and oiling the blade. Next on the website it says battle ready.. ok then you put a pamphlet inside ... don't sharpen, don't cut, only for decoration only... I understand covering yourselves should someone do something they shouldn't but now I have no idea if she can even use it. I understand I got what I paid for. I have purchased from your company before as well as a couple of other suppliers, I believe in the future I will be going back to them. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Hopefully you will address issues like these with your supplier and send out better quality, with better fitment. Thanks , James H.

I really like this wakizashi, I do wish that there were either a second ring on the saya or that the single ring were movable to adjust for balance.

Delivery was good. Metal piece on scabbard was loose and freely slides out of place. Overall sword quality seems on par for price.

I like this one very much. It's solid and has a good weight. It's very well made.
The catalog photo makes it appear more red than it is; it's actually a lighter shade of brown. Admittedly, that detracts slightly from its visual intrigue, but doesn't hurt its functionality in the slightest. It's unquestionably ready to open someone and it's still pretty.
Well packaged and promptly shipped.
No regrets.
