First off , the shipping time was fantastic ....delivered within a week.r
Secondly , having taken the whole thing apart ,and putting it back together again , i can say that the build is very robust.... and it cut through a 2x4 like a hot knife !!r
It is heavier in the hand that a European sword of similar length , by about a pound and a half , the balance point being 9 inches forward of the guard , so it is very forward in the thrust .....it WILL come out of your hand if you are not paying attention . It is DEFINITELY NOT for whipping around like a WUSHU performer , and a cute little "Xena" wrist roll will either snap said wrist or send the damn thing flying , or BOTH ....That said ; there is a mantra among Motorcycle riders..."There are no Small mistakes on a big bike ".....same here . This is not for Beginners....this is for a seasoned practitioner... i can Guarantee yo that Bubba Newbie will remove parts of his anatomy , or God forbid , come out of this hand , trying to imitate a scene from Mulan ( blatant Donny Yen plug) .r
Aside from being a very formidable weapon , it is a work of art.r

The pattern is adhered very well to the surface. The grips and fittings are a bit on the cheap-side but they are designed for "minimalist, tactical use" so they may just what some people are looking for. The blades are still full tang, as evidenced by the great balance point.r
