I purchased a full tang battle ready Damascus katana for myself. My selection is a simple design at nearly a thousand US dollars. That level of investment was based one two factors, positive rati gs of prior purchasers and my experience while living in Japan as a child. After several days of running the sword I bought two wazikaski and a tachi for my son and daughter (respectively) as heirloom items for them to pass onto future generations. r
All four are well build instruments. I am very happy to have found True Katana...and will likely buy more because of the craftsmanship (but do not expect to ever need another based of quality and performance of my initial purchase).

Everything is good and tight but the bottom of the handle is a little loose and the blade could be a little sharper, but overall I like it a lot and you get what you pay for so get something in mind for yourself if you want something better, but it's a different sword than the katana and shorter movements or easier to move. The handle is good and tight but there is a little gap on one side of the handle that looks rushed to be finished and also the bottom butt of the handle is loose. Over all I think it's great for what it's worth

So, it's a little on the heavy side. The plastic covering the blade was ripped, stand the scabbard is loaded up with the oil the blade was shipped in - so whenever I unsheath it, the blade has way too much oil on it. The hamon is super fake looking. It should have a natural hamon because in the item description, it states the blade is clay tempered. Otherwise, I am happy with it overall. I guess the next one I buy will have to be more expensive- to get the features that I thought I was getting with this one.

Fantastically balanced, polished, and assembled. The sword came exactly how I expected it, and functions amazingly. It is very fast, and very accurate. I have large hands and can still fit two comfortably on the handle in moments where I want to create a little extra push pull power. The quickest draw cutting blade that I have. I absolutely love this blade, and it will be with me for life. If you actually use a sword for more than wall hanging, I absolutely recommend this one.
