Frequently Asked Questions

What steel is used in the Zenitsu Sword replica?
Our Zenitsu Sword replicas are forged from 1045 carbon steel, a medium-carbon alloy widely used in traditionally styled Japanese blades. This grade offers a solid balance between hardness and flexibility — it holds an edge profile well and resists lateral stress without becoming brittle. Compared to stainless steel display pieces that are often cast or stamped, 1045 carbon steel is actually heated, hammered, and tempered through a forging process, which gives the finished blade a realistic weight of roughly 900 to 1,100 grams. The steel also responds naturally to oil maintenance, developing a subtle patina over time that many collectors appreciate as part of the piece's character.
How accurate is the yellow blade pattern to the anime?
The yellow pattern on our Zenitsu replica is designed to closely mirror the lightning-inspired hamon line seen on Zenitsu Agatsuma's Nichirin Katana in Kimetsu no Yaiba. On the actual collectible, this is achieved by applying a yellow finish along the blade surface with a gradient that follows the curvature from spine to edge, imitating the in-show effect of a blade imbued with Thunder Breathing energy. The kanji characters meaning "Destroy Demons" are etched into the flat (shinogi-ji) of the blade, matching their placement in the anime. The overall color saturation is intentionally vivid so the piece stands out on display, faithfully capturing the bold aesthetic of the source material.
What makes the Zenitsu Sword different from other Demon Slayer replicas?
Each Nichirin Katana in the Demon Slayer series is color-coded to its user's breathing style, so the Zenitsu replica's defining trait is its bright yellow blade — symbolizing thunder and lightning. Beyond color, the fittings differ significantly from other character swords. Zenitsu's tsuba is a round white guard with small triangle motifs and a gold rim, whereas Tanjiro's features a black pinwheel design and Inosuke's swords have no traditional tsuba at all. The scabbard is also distinctive: a clean white saya versus the black or patterned sheaths found on other characters' replicas. These specific details make each piece instantly recognizable, which is why collectors often display multiple Nichirin blades side by side to highlight the contrast.
How should I display and maintain a carbon steel anime replica?
For display, a horizontal wooden katana stand (katanakake) is the most traditional option and distributes weight evenly across the blade. Wall-mounted racks also work well and save shelf space. Keep the sword away from direct sunlight, which can fade the yellow finish over time, and avoid high-humidity areas like bathrooms or uninsulated garages. For maintenance, wipe the blade with a soft microfiber cloth after any handling to remove fingerprint oils, then apply a thin layer of choji oil or food-grade mineral oil using a flannel cloth. Repeat this every two to four weeks depending on your climate. Store the blade inside its white saya when not on display to shield it from airborne moisture and dust.
Is the Zenitsu Sword a good gift for a Demon Slayer fan?
It is one of the most popular anime collectible gifts we ship, particularly because Zenitsu Agatsuma is a fan-favorite character whose humorous personality and dramatic Thunder Breathing scenes resonate with a wide audience. The vivid yellow blade and clean white scabbard make the piece visually striking even for recipients who are casual fans rather than dedicated sword collectors. Because it arrives with a full saya, the sword can be displayed immediately without extra accessories. For an elevated gift, pair it with a Tanjiro Sword to give the recipient the series' two most iconic blades as a matched set.

I love these demon slayer replicas. I own 3. I like 2 of mine very well. The 3rd however, I do not. The Zenitsu replica has some issues. You expect some minor issues with a replica. Mine however has some issues. The lightning painted on the blade is ok on one side but the other side the lightning goes over the black and onto the blade. Theres also rust on mine, which I will have to buff out. The fit into the saya is so. Freaking. Tight. I had to literally use a hammer to get it to release. Even now I can't close it, or it's the hammer again. In summary, the swords are great and I might just have gotten a dud with the 1. Remember though folks, "Don't lick the blade". 😆
