Product Details

The 28.3-inch blade is forged from T10 carbon steel and clay tempered to achieve a hardness of 60 HRC at the edge, with a softer spine for structural integrity. The process produces a genuine hamon - the undulating temper line visible along the blade's length - giving this piece the defining visual signature of a traditionally crafted Japanese sword. The chrome-finish surface is hand-ground and polished to a mirror-like clarity. This katana is part of our Forged Katana collection, which focuses on blades built with documented steel and heat treatment processes.

The 10.2-inch tsuka is wrapped in white cotton ito over white samegawa in a classic diamond-pattern koshirae braid. The wrap sits firm and even, providing a stable grip surface. Beneath the ito, the full tang runs the complete length of the handle, secured without gaps or movement.

The alloy tsuba is cast in a Dragon Wave design with detailed relief work across its surface - a dragon motif rendered in gold and silver tones against a darker alloy body. The fuchi features an open lattice-style cutout pattern visible in the detail shots. The combination of gold-accent dragon imagery and silver-tone openwork gives the fittings a layered, high-contrast appearance.

The natural hardwood saya measures 30.3 inches and is finished to expose the warm reddish-brown wood grain without heavy lacquer overlay. A dark brown braided sageo cord is knotted at the kurigata with a traditional wrap pattern visible along the koiguchi end. If you're exploring more options in this finish and steel combination, browse the Brown T10 Carbon Steel Katana collection for related pieces.

Overall length is 40.5 inches with a blade width of 1.26 inches and a total weight of 2.55 lbs. The koshirae-style assembly - white ito, dragon tsuba, natural wood saya, and brown sageo - creates a cohesive warm-toned aesthetic that stands out in a display setting. A full-tang T10 katana for collectors who prioritize documented construction and visual authenticity.

For the price It was Amazing. All the materials that were listed in the description of the item were actually real, including gold, silver, real hard wood saya, including real samegawa rapped handle. The level of detail and craftsmanship of my blade was very high quality. I was also surprised with the fact that the blade had a real hamon (temper line). The one down side is that the saya entrance was a bit wide which causes the blade to not be fully sealed. In conclusion I am very satisfied with my purchase and will buy from here again.
