Product Details

The blade of this white katana is forged from T10 carbon steel and clay tempered using a traditional water quench process. This differential hardening produces a genuine hamon line visible along the chrome-polished surface, with the edge reaching 60 HRC hardness while the spine retains flexibility. The 28.34-inch nagasa is hand-finished to a smooth, reflective polish that highlights the undulating temper line running from habaki to kissaki.

The tsuka spans 10.62 inches in a full tang construction, wrapped in white ito cord over white ray-skin samegawa. The wrapping pattern is tight and consistent, providing both a traditional aesthetic and functional grip texture. A gold-toned habaki collar sits at the blade base, carved with a circular family crest pattern that introduces a warm metallic accent to the otherwise white-and-silver color scheme.

The tsuba is a silver alloy guard in an openwork floral design, with petal shapes cut through the metal to create depth and visual interest. This flower-themed guard adds an ornamental layer that complements the elegant white palette of the sword. Collectors looking for similar craftsmanship can explore our full range of T10 Clay Tempered Katana models.

The saya is crafted from hardwood and finished in a high-gloss white piano lacquer that gives it a smooth, porcelain-like surface. A hand-painted manga-style illustration adorns the body of the scabbard, adding a distinct artistic element. The white sageo cord is tied in a traditional knot near the kurikata, maintaining the monochrome theme throughout.

With an overall length of 40.15 inches and a weight of 2.53 lbs, this katana is proportioned for display and collection. The cohesive white-and-silver design - from saya to tsuka to sageo - makes it a standout piece in any White T10 Carbon Steel Katana collection, blending traditional Japanese forging methods with a modern visual identity.

Got it. Looks and feels quality. The blade is plenty of sharp and preserved in machine oiI I haven't field tested yet, but looks cool and will be an excellent centerpiece on my fire mantle as well as a home defense weapon should I ever need one, lol. I would reccomend scotch guarding a bleached white handle for stain and water resistance if you plan on handling a lot like I intend to with practice... I would buy from truekatana.com again. However I wish you could get the option to customize engravings in the blade. Oh my cat approves too, lol.

There were a couple of small bubbles on the face of the picture on my case, that really drive me crazy. Otherwise this thing is very nice all around in terms of quality. Itd easily rate this a 4-5 if those bubbles werent there.
