Product Details

The blade on this katana is forged from 1095 carbon steel and hand-finished to a bright chrome polish, showcasing a clean, smooth surface without a visible hamon line. The steel carries a precision edge along its length, and at 41 inches overall with a 4 lb weight, the piece balances display presence with a manageable profile. This is part of our 1095 Katana collection, where carbon steel construction meets careful hand-finishing work.

The tsuka features a teal ito cord wrap laid over black PU samegawa in a traditional diamond pattern. The wrapping is firm and consistent, with black menuki details visible beneath the crossings. The overall grip length gives the piece a proportional look in hand or on a display rack.

The gold-tone plain tsuba sits cleanly at the habaki, offering a warm metallic contrast against both the chrome blade and the dark handle fittings. The kashira and kojiri are finished in dark metal with floral relief detailing, visible in the product images, that ties the fittings together into a cohesive koshirae set.

The saya is constructed from hardwood with a black lacquer finish - smooth, matte, and durable. A white skull-and-wing graphic is applied to the saya face as a centerpiece design element, bold and clearly visible against the black ground. The teal sageo cord matches the tsuka wrap, completing the black-and-teal color scheme across the full assembly. For collectors interested in the broader koshirae style, our Traditional Samurai Sword collection offers additional reference points.

Packaged in a 43x4x4 inch box at a shipping weight of 5 lbs. Note: sword stand or holder is not included with purchase.

The sword is absolutely beautiful in the details and the look of it. But its completely loose in the scabbard and same with the small hand guard piece, it slides back and forth with a slight push of your finger.
