Damascus Steel Ninjato with Hand-Painted White Saya, Gold Plum Tsuba & Blue Ito Wrap

The blade on this ninjato replica is forged from Damascus pattern steel, delivering the layered, flowing surface texture that collectors immediately recognize. A visible hamon line traces the length of the chrome-polished edge, the result of differential heat treatment and oil quenching applied during the forging process. The full tang construction runs the entire length of the handle, giving the piece solid structural integrity from tip to pommel.

The tsuka is wrapped in deep navy blue ito over a white PU samegawa base, laced in the classic diamond cross pattern. White ray-skin diamonds peek through at each intersection, creating sharp contrast against the dark cord. The wrap is firm and even throughout, finished cleanly at both ends.

The gold-tone tsuba is cast in a rectangular open-work form with plum blossom (ume) cutouts and raised floral relief on the surface. Brass-tone fittings at the habaki and collar tie the guard visually to the handle hardware, completing the koshirae in a consistent warm gold palette. The overall guard design draws from classical Japanese motifs without ornamentation.
