Product Details

This full tang katana features a 28.74-inch spring steel blade with a polished chrome finish and a hardness rating of 58 HRC. The entire blade surface is adorned with deeply etched cloud-and-wave motifs that catch light along the curved edge, giving the steel a layered visual depth that sets it apart from plain-finished swords.

The 10.23-inch handle is built on a hardwood core wrapped tightly in black PU leather cord. The wrapping follows a consistent spiral pattern with no gaps, creating a ridged texture that fills the hand securely. The kashira at the pommel mirrors the dragon theme found on the guard, tying the handle and fittings into a cohesive design.

The tsuba is crafted from real copper alloy and features a bold, high-relief dragon on each face. The circular guard has a silver-tone metallic finish with fine engraved detailing around the dragon figure. The fuchi collar below the guard carries a matching dragon motif, adding continuity from blade to handle. This level of sculptural detail makes the fittings a standout feature among Real Katana offerings.

The 30.7-inch hardwood saya is wrapped in brown PU leather with a marble-style pattern that blends dark brown and golden tones in an organic, flowing design. A silver-tone koiguchi protects the mouth of the scabbard, and the overall finish has a warm, textured appearance that complements the polished steel fittings. I simply love this katana.
I was surprised at how very well made it was, the size, the weight, and the sharpness although I'll sharpen it more.
The tsuka is wrapped in leather very securely and it's comfortable. The length is great for a sword of this weight and length. The kashira is pretty sweet as is the habaki and there's no guard, which I personally like.
I like that the blade doesn't taper but remains fairly wide throughout, it cut easily right out of the box to which it was wrapped great protecting it in shipment. The scabbard is pretty nice, wood covered and securely stitched with a clear coat over it for protection.
Overall a really nice sword, I'll be using it on my book cover.
