Manganese Steel Tanto with Camo Hardwood Saya - Black & Gold Geometric Tsuba, Full Tang

The blade on this tanto is forged from manganese steel and hand-finished to a chrome-like polish, revealing a clean hamon line running along the edge. The single-bevel profile tapers to a precise point, shaped in the traditional tanto geometry with a flat spine and a gently curved tip. At 21 inches overall and 2 lbs, the piece carries well in hand.

The handle is built on a full tang construction - the blade steel extends through the entire tsuka core, giving the piece solid structural integrity rather than a pinned or glued assembly. The outer wrap uses black cord over white PU samegawa in a standard diamond-gap pattern, with gold-tone menuki tucked beneath the wrap adding a warm metallic accent against the black-and-white color scheme.

The tsuba is cast iron in a floral-frame silhouette - a lobed, multi-petal outline with geometric pinwheel cutouts across the face. The base is finished in black with gold-tone trim where it meets the habaki, producing a sharp black-and-gold contrast that anchors the transition between blade and handle. This Hamidashi Koshirae style fitting keeps the guard compact and close to the hand.

The saya is hardwood finished in a multicolor camouflage pattern - green, brown, tan, and black tones layered in an irregular camo design across the lacquered surface. The kurikata and kojiri fittings are finished in black, keeping the hardware tonal.
