T10 Carbon Steel Katana with Real Hamon, Full Tang Blade in Black Koshirae with Eagle Tsuba

The blade on this katana is forged from T10 carbon steel and heat-treated to produce a genuine hamon line along the edge - the natural wave pattern visible in the lower detail image is a direct result of the differential hardening process, not an etched imitation. The chrome-polished surface catches light cleanly, and the full tang construction runs the length of the handle for solid structural integrity throughout the piece.

The tsuka is wrapped in black cord ito over black ray-skin samegawa, using a traditional diamond-pattern wrap that creates a firm, textured grip surface. Small floral menuki fittings are set beneath the wrap at mid-handle, adding a refined detail that breaks up the all-black palette without disrupting the overall aesthetic.

The eagle-themed silver alloy tsuba is the visual centerpiece of this build. The circular guard features an eagle rendered in fine relief - feathers, form, and negative space carved into the alloy with precise detail. Paired with a cream-colored buffalo horn habaki, the tsuba sits cleanly between blade and handle as a focal point for the entire koshirae. The saya is crafted from hardwood with a matte black lacquer finish and fitted with a black sageo cord knotted at the kurigata. The all-black exterior creates a strong contrast against the polished blade when drawn, and the lacquer finish provides a clean, consistent surface across the full length of the scabbard.
