1095 Carbon Steel Wakizashi with Camouflage Hardwood Saya and Black Tsuka Wrap

The blade on this wakizashi is forged from 1095 carbon steel and finished to a polished chrome appearance along the flat, with a clean, well-defined edge running to a sharp kissaki. The full-tang construction extends through the entire length of the handle, keeping the blade and tsuka solidly unified. At 31 inches overall, it carries the proportions of a traditional short sword intended for close-range use and display.

The tsuka is wrapped in black PU samegawa beneath a black cotton cord bound in a tight diamond (hishi) pattern. Gold menuki ornaments are set into the wrap on both sides, catching light against the dark background and adding a refined accent to an otherwise understated handle. The overall grip feel is firm and secure, with the wrap seated tightly against the ray-skin layer.

Fitting the blade to the handle is a plain iron tsuba with a warm brown tone, consistent with a koshirae-style assembly.
