Product Details

The blade is ground from T10 carbon steel and carries a genuine hamon - the temper line runs naturally along the edge and shifts in character across the length of the blade. At 40.5 inches overall with a 1.26-inch width, the polished chrome-finish nagasa delivers a clean taper to a precise kissaki. The full-tang construction anchors the blade firmly through the handle assembly without interruption.

The tsuka is wrapped in continuous engraved gold alloy fittings featuring scrolling vine and floral motifs that carry across the entire handle surface. A black sageo cord ties at the kurikata, offering a deliberate contrast to the warm gold tone of the handle and setting the color balance of the koshirae. For collectors drawn to Gold T10 Carbon Steel Katana designs, this build represents one of the more cohesive all-gold presentations available.

The chrysanthemum tsuba is cast in gold-tone alloy with a circular floral motif - a traditional Japanese mon pattern that recurs across samurai heraldry. The fuchi and kashira repeat the same engraved vine scrollwork as the saya fittings, keeping the hardware language consistent from tip to pommel.

The saya is constructed from hardwood and finished in gold lacquer, then covered in deeply engraved vine relief carving that runs the full length of the scabbard. The koiguchi and kojiri are fitted with matching engraved alloy collars, reinforcing both the visual continuity and the structural endpoints of the sheath. This level of coordinated detail across saya and fittings is the hallmark of koshirae-style assembly. Collectors exploring the broader Gold T10 Carbon Steel Japanese Samurai Swords range will find this piece sits at the high-detail end of that category.

Overall length is 40.5 inches, blade width 1.26 inches, spine thickness 0.275 inches, weight 3.17 lb. Packaged at 43.3 x 3.93 x 3.14 inches with a shipping weight of 4.4 lb. Sword stand is not included.

  • Blade forged from T10 carbon steel with a genuine hamon visible along the edge - the wavy temper line is a direct result of the differential heat treatment process applied during hand-finishing.
  • Full-tang construction runs the steel continuously through the gold-toned handle, ensuring structural integrity throughout the entire 40.5-inch length of the sword.
  • Gold lacquered hardwood saya features dense all-over vine relief carving that wraps the full length of the scabbard, matching the engraved fittings on the koiguchi and kojiri.
  • Gold alloy tsuba cast in a chrysanthemum motif - the circular floral pattern is finished in warm gold tone, complementing the saya and tsuka fittings for a unified koshirae presentation.
  • Black sageo cord provides a clean contrast against the all-gold saya, while the gold-wrapped tsuka carries continuous scrollwork engraving that aligns with the scabbard's vine theme.

This is my 4th sword from TK. Once again, nothing beats these. Came razor sharp, fresh coat of oil, and it doesn’t rattle either. Love this golden look as well.
