Product Details

The blade on this katana is forged from T10 carbon steel and carries a genuine hamon line - the visible temper boundary produced during the heat treatment process. The chrome-finish blade measures 40.5 in overall with a 1.26 in width, and the full-tang construction extends through the entire handle for structural integrity. The tsuka is wrapped in dark blue ito cord in the traditional diamond-pattern over white ray-skin samegawa. The exposed samegawa diamonds create a clean visual rhythm along the handle, and the cord binding is firm and tightly finished. A gold-tone brass habaki collar sits at the base of the blade, providing a polished transition point between blade and handle.

The tsuba is circular, finished in black, and features an open geometric cutout pattern - a clean, architectural design without figurative imagery. The black finish pairs directly with the dark blue handle wrapping and keeps the fittings visually cohesive from habaki to kashira.

The saya is built from hardwood finished in a blue-black mixed lacquer that shifts tone along its length. The blue and black tones blend in a layered pattern giving the scabbard significant visual depth. A dark blue sageo cord is braided in a traditional knot at the kurigata, completing the koshirae-style presentation.

At 3.2 lb and 40.5 in overall, this katana is built to koshirae specifications with matched fittings throughout. The color palette - chrome blade, dark blue ito, black tsuba, and blue-black saya - forms a unified, cohesive aesthetic. Note: sword stand is not included.

  • Forged from T10 carbon steel with a hand-finished real hamon line visible along the blade - each sword carries a uniquely formed temper pattern from the heat treatment process.
  • Full-tang construction runs the full length of the dark blue tsuka, wrapped in traditional ito cord over white ray-skin samegawa for a secure, layered grip.
  • Black geometric-pattern tsuba with gold-tone brass habaki collar creates a sharp contrast against the chrome blade and dark blue handle components.
  • Saya finished in a striking blue-black mixed lacquer over hardwood, secured with a dark blue sageo cord braided in classic koshirae style.
  • Overall length 40.5 in, blade width 1.26 in, weighing 3.2 lb - proportioned for display and handling, koshirae-style fittings throughout.
