First of all, I feel like it's crucial that those who plan on buying a Katana or any sword/weapon knows the responsibility that comes with it, these katanas need to be cleaned at least every 3 months or every month depending on where you live, these are not the type of blades that can just sit on the shelf forever. I Received the Katana within 10 days from ordering. Pretty good considering it came from overseas. (Orient). Was packaged very well. It came completely wrapped for protection as well as a well oiled and protected blade. The Katana is razor sharp and beautifully crafted. As with my previous purchase this Katana fit into the scabbard perfectly and maintained a secure fit when sheathed. No slippage. The tsuka again, as with my other Katana, was very precise with a tight, clean weave over redray skin. The blade was a black 1060 steel with a hamon visible on the sharpened part of the sword. It did not appear to be etched or scribed. It looked like it was genuinely creatd using a clay mix and then fired in a forge. The saya was done in a high gloss black laquer finish. The tsuba is made from iron and well done. the swords balance point centers near 4-5 inches ahead of the tauba for a good feel with decent control and follow through. Almost effortless. Overall another great addition to my other Katana.

Recieved my Katana in 5 days from order. Pretty quick from CA to RI. Packaging was excellent for shipping purposes. Sword was protected with plastic and encased with premolded styrofoam. Blade was wrapped in oiled plastic for protection within the saya. The sword itself was magnificent. Attention to detail was very good. The sword was well balanced, not top or bottom heavy. The wakazoshi seems pretty well made. Blade is incredibly sharp and aesthetically it is a beautiful piece. I have 2 grips with it. 1. The Kashira is loose already. Which means if it’s used as intended the tsuka ito will become loose and unwrap. 2. I wish they offered a real ray or shark skin Ho cover. Other than that for the price it is perfect. That is the only reason I did not give 5 stars. For most this would be perfect for display.

This gorgeous blade arrived right on time.
The only drawbacks are...
A slight nick, on the spine near the Tsuba.
And the blade was not wrapped. So I oiled the blade straight away.
With the niggles over with.
The blade is gorgeous. As are the Tsuba, saya, sageo, tsuka, and cord wrap. Can never recall the Japanese term.
It looks tan in the picture. It's actually a beautiful gold cord.
The suprise is how light this one is. The blood gutters really put what little weight there is very close to your hand. Maybe 4 inches forward of the Tsuba.
This blade is so delightfully light I could duel wield a pair like Inosuke Hashibira! 👍
But of course I've already dinged up the saya.

Good sword, feels nice in my hands (I have small hands) good weight to it; need a little strength to stop the swing from going too far. When you first unsheath the sword there’s a bag over the blade and there was some sort of foam and lube on my blade from the sheath as well idk what that was (didn’t cause any problems it can just be wiped away). The white bands wrapped around the sheath does move up and down. Not as sharp as I would like it to be but it will cut through stuff. Overall was a good purchase.
