Overall it is okay and I was happy. I was not expecting too much of this sword, as it is not that expensive relatively speaking for katanas, but I was disappointed in one major way. The blade is nicely polished and sharp enough. Inside the saya could be smoother and the end is scuffed with black material. There is a slight rattle when the sword is in the saya but not horrible and it fits well at the habaki/seppa. The tsuba is actually really nice. All the fittings are nice and tight except for the ito wrap, which moves when you push it up and down with your fingers, and it is glued or melted to itself at the ends. The ray skin is fake but I was expecting that.
But the one thing that is unacceptable is a couple scuff marks on the saya. From a distance they are not noticeable, but this is a result of lack of care while handling before it gets to the customer. I have not done a cutting test so no comment there. But again, overall I was happy cause the sword is good for the price of $140 which deserves 4 stars. (Only let me upload one pic for some reason)
