This jian is beautiful - the item photo is very accurate - and is just what I was looking for.
I now have seven Chinese swords and they all have individual character, different looks, feel, balance, weight, replicas of swords from different periods in history, made by different forges, six jian, one dao. This one stands out as being desperately beautiful, and perhaps the best fit and finish of all those I have (and that includes the western swords that I have, Spartan and Macedonian replicas, cutlasses and hangers, and others through the mid-nineteenth century.
I am very happy with my purchase, the process was simple and easy and delivery was very quick (I am on the east coast of the United States and shipping went directly from China to New York so I am believing it was air freight.) The truth is I will likely be back to acquire another beautiful piece of work here.
