I’m no sword smith, but I am a satisfied customer. The Tanto is very nice and I did choose the T10 steel for its strength and edge retention capabilities. The hamon line is nice with nice graying. Shipping and delivery was fast. I waited for the Tanto to decide whether or not to order a Wakizashi and I did. If it’s appearance and quality is what I’m expecting I’ll be ordering a Katana.

An exquisite craftmanship, very sturdy, genuine materials and really beautiful.
Only one point of disappointment, and it is a major one for me;
like written in your description of this Tanto :
- "razors edge sharp"
- "battle-ready swords"
- "built for cutting" (?!)
- "extremely sharp hand honed edge".
I am afraid it is not true.
I own a Katana with those qualities and this Tanto is not near
to cut something at all. It is even dull at some points to say the truth.
....but 4 stars anyway because it is awesome for display.

Bonjour , mon couteau TANTO est de très belle finition , et je suis très satisfait de sa qualité , ainsi que pour mes quatre précédant katana que je vous ai acheté .
Le problème que je rencontre , est le manque de sérieux des transporteurs , j'ai deux katanas que je vous ai acheté qui on disparu de façon définitive à l'arrivée en Belgique après des semaines de tracasseries administratives ,et je n'ai pas eu de remplacement ?
Et aussi la grande différance des délais de livraisons d'une commande à l'autre .
En tous , je vous ai acheté sept katana pour ma collection .
Je félicite les forgerons pour la qualité de leurs travail .

The first order a full-size katana was exceptional, I mean it was/is perfect. The craftsmen and artists who made it must be commended, beautiful work. The tanto sword not so much. The tsuka mountings, fuchi and kashira, extend above the tsuka-ito and make it uncomfortable to hold. The habaki fit to the saya was loose and the blade rattled in the saya but I was able to fix both. The sageo wrap on the saya was loose but I can tighten it myself. It appears the attention to fit was a bit off as was the quality control for that sword. But I understand we all have off days. At first glance the tanto looks good and when displayed with the katana as intended it will do.
On the upside dealing with TrueKatana was a pleasure! Thank you.
