Sword is nice however the sheath is loose and doesn’t hold sword firmly. Also the handle shows the rivets holding it together. Overall I guess I expected more for the price but then again this isn’t a $1000 sword. If I buy again I will look at higher end katanas.

The katana arrived in a reasonable time frame, coming from China (Hubei Province)via air. The quality was about par for the cost. No authentication nor bill of sale were included as to the composition, methodology, etc. This a fault and should be conveyed with the katana. The advertised sharpness and the Damascus structure was not as distinct. The workmanship on the hilt and the handle was poor. The handle release peg was not visible on the opposite side. No way to remove the handle. The edge will not slice paper as it should as a fine katana. This katana was the work of a mid-level Smith through and through. I'd like to hear from the maker, sharpener, etc.

This is review if Katana Cane,1060 blade,Shipped and arrived very quickly! Katana'sfinished nicely! Handle/ Tsaba was a bit slippery so I covered it in Elk hide,also added a rubber bump pad to bottom to actually use as Cane. You get what you pay for some say! All in all very Happy with it, doing a few more mods though..r
I Have many Edged weapons, and this is good deal for price.r
Will do a couple more reviews when N if I get another/ different steel and build..r

The katana sword looks like it is well made and has a nice feel. However, the Saya (Scabbard) does not fit properly over the katana sword. The Saya does not lock into place as it should and will slide right off the sword. I'm a little bit disappointed in the workmanship quality of the Saya.

I could not be more pleased with my order of the pictured katana. First, the packaging was very well done. Order arrived in a styrofoam box wrapped in water proof yellow tape. Inside, the blade was in its scabbard (saya) which was in a clear plastic wrap for protection. Upon removing the blade, I found it inside of an oiled tubular plastic wrap for corrosion protection. Second, the scabbard had a beautiful, consistent coloration and was made of hardwood with gold fittings - classy. Third the blade - 5/16" thick at the crossguard (tsuba) tapering to 3/16" at the tip. The differential heat treating line was stunning. The blade was very sharp and the handle was also covered in clear plastic wrap for protection. What a great value - I will definitely be a repeat customer!

I definitely recommend True Katana to anyone that feels skeptical. I went for a battle ready sword, display piece nonetheless. It could come in handy in some unforeseen circumstance compared to the cheaper swords when it comes to durability. It's all true to its description and just a slight scratch on the scabbard but not upset at all! I have my first Katana!!

Honestly I was surprised by the quality. It's actually really sturdy and all the rope is snug to the handle and scabbard. The blade is also really nice. I definitely got what I paid for so when you're looking for your sword, just know you are gonna get what you pay for. 300-400 is probably the best range to look for a great budget sword.
