Battle Ready WakizashiShirasaya Wakizashi
Overall a good product. The blade is excellent, and overall workmanship is quite good.r
Two problems observed:r
The Habaki is loose - it slides back and forth on the blade with a noticeable gap between the notch on the blade and the Seppa.r
The Tsuka-Ito is a bit looser than it should be.r
While I can repair both of these I should not have to do so. The assembly should not have passed inspection.

Handmade Wakizashi Sword T10 Folded Clay Tempered Steel With Brown Scabbard |
Over all, beautiful blade, fit and finish could be a little better, packaging needs more, the saya had a small chip on the end, the habaki is very loose, and the fuchi is loose, also the tang rocks in the hand when swung, I do understand the price point but everything should still be nice and tight. Other than those issues this is beautiful overall

I mean, it looks like a sword. Can't tell if it was forged in the fires of Olympus by Hephaestus himself or by some raggedy old dude with a rusty hammer banging pot metal together; but either way it's a sharp piece of metal. It's got a blade that feels sharp and cuts paper, and a pr
oint that's pointy and could definitely poke. Whether or not it could dismember somebody or stab a bear through the face and not break remains to be seen. But one thing is for certain, it can do both of those things at least once. I just hope I never have to leave another review after this one. I would give it five stars but could not in all good conscience simply because it only cost me about $230 something dollars. The only way I could believe this is a genuine article capable of doing the real thing is if it cost quite a bit more. That being said it is a beautiful sword and I am very happy with my purchase. The fact that it looks like a sword is good enough for me and it is a beautiful one at that.

Well made and very sharp. Clearly a real weapon and not a fake, brittle display toy.

Short Katana, Handmade Wakizashi Sword T10 Folded Clay Tempered Steel With Green Scabbard |
The contact email was responsive and helpful. I asked for a short katana, being short. I asked for a not sharp katana, being a beginner, and they complied, although you could still hurt someone with it for sure. The sword is beautiful, wood handle and sheath (sorry have not learned the lingo yet).

I have to admit that I'm impressed. Quality blade. Although, I haven't given it a practical test yet.
I will be trying 4 tatami over the coming weekend.

I wanted an “ understated” Wakizashi style sword to match a Tonto with Damascus blade.
This sword exceeds my expectations. I will bring the edge to the sharpness level required.
So far, I am very happy with this sword.

Very good quality swords. These 2 give me 16 in my collection. Plan on ordering at least 2 more next year. Have to stop after that or it's divorce time.

Product is good. Had some issues with shipping. First time, wrong item was shipped so I was given a discount on the next order. Shipping took longer than expected, but it arrived in good order and correct item this time! I will continue to be a customer.

Super fast free delivery during December from their US warehouse was a bonus. I have ordered from them before and the swords are as advertised. Good stuff at a good price. I have no complaints about TrueKatana.com.

I purchased this as a gift for my adult daughter. The quality out of the box was extraordinary. Finishes on the blade, handguard, and scabbard are very high quality. The blade itself is quite beautiful and seems expertly crafted. Overall I would recommend to anyone looking for a high quality wakizashi.

I got it on sale but some issues may indicate why it was on sale.
Cons:
Blade was bent and wavy ( not straight)
the grinds were a little heavy on some places showing little hot spots.
The Hamon was very prominent in photos but very faint in person.
Pros:
Blade is very sharp and although faint, the Hamon looks much better than a fake hamon.
Woodworking (and wood) vas very nice
Fitting was very nice and tight (handle ,and sword to sheath)
Overall it's ok for the "sale" price, but as is I would not pay full price again for the same piece that I recieved.
I am reviewing only 1 piece and this does not reflect True Katana's Overall product .
Thanks

Nice blade and all together it’s well put together. No rattling or anything when swung with good strength. Also very clean design.

I was expecting real bamboo. After seeing it's not, I read the description again. "bamboo style wooden". Yup, beware of details. But it is still very cool. I am definitely keeping it. The blade is Damascus Steel. The blade is cooler than the handle/sheath. I'll probably never use it. For self defense I prefer a gun as Indiana Jones used against an expert sworder. But I do respect the Samari.

The wakizashi is similar to the katana but shorter in length. The average Wakizashi is about 50 cm long and was usually worn together with the katana by the Samurai of feudal Japan. When worn together the pair of swords was called Daish, which translates to large and small. This sword acted like a side weapon and was worn by the Samurai at all times.
