Overall a good product. The blade is excellent, and overall workmanship is quite good.r
Two problems observed:r
The Habaki is loose - it slides back and forth on the blade with a noticeable gap between the notch on the blade and the Seppa.r
The Tsuka-Ito is a bit looser than it should be.r
While I can repair both of these I should not have to do so. The assembly should not have passed inspection.

Cependant ,la SAYA en bois noir de mon wakizashi , étais fendue en deux endroits avec l'entrée trop étroite , pour introduction de l' HABAKY du sabre . Je l'ai fait recollé par un spécialiste sur bois . J'ai aussi dans le passé , perdu deux sabres , qui se sont égaré dans le transport vers mon domicile . Like its companion sword, I bought this one with the intention of using its koshirae on another project. However, when it arrived I found myself rather impressed with the construction. While I'm not a fan of bohi, the blade feels quite solid and has some interesting activity. The fittings are of good quality and the hardwood gives it a unique look. All said, for the money I think this sword is a very good buy!

I was expecting real bamboo. After seeing it's not, I read the description again. "bamboo style wooden". Yup, beware of details. But it is still very cool. I am definitely keeping it. The blade is Damascus Steel. The blade is cooler than the handle/sheath. I'll probably never use it. For self defense I prefer a gun as Indiana Jones used against an expert sworder. But I do respect the Samari.

All the sword are great! Love the quality. Our competition team loves the balance and the look of them.
However, one of the scabbards seems to have some of the packaging still stuck down in the bottom of the sheath. Not quite sure how to get that out without damaging the sheath. If you have any suggestions please let me know so we can allow our entire team to utilize these fine weapons.

The wakizashi is similar to the katana but shorter in length. The average Wakizashi is about 50 cm long and was usually worn together with the katana by the Samurai of feudal Japan. When worn together the pair of swords was called Daish, which translates to large and small. This sword acted like a side weapon and was worn by the Samurai at all times.
