This set, however, is of curious origins. The blades look amazing as always, a deep blue with an almost purple hue in the light. The Sakura tattoo on the blade and habaki add a classy touch and the engraved blossom on the scabbard is very eye catching and well done.r
However, the katana only has one mekugi peg so I worry about how full the tang is. It feels solid enough, but the habaki was also loose when I got it, and had to be fixed with a spacer... it seems like a corner or 2 was cut with the katana but again, great looking blade. The grip wrapping feels old, like maybe it's been in a warehouse for a while. Not bad, just not the greatest sword I've gotten from truekatana...r

Overall I'd be cautious with this particular set but I'm sure it has more to do with suppliers than truekatana

Great purchase, I would only add that it was unclear if you were using USPS or someone else like UPS. This would be a problem for me since the USPS doesn't deliver to address per my request. (They would deliver to my P.O.Box) I'm crossing my Katana's and hoping my order is delivered via someone other than USPS.

The swords are beautiful and feels very nice. The problem was with the shape they came in. The tanto was scratched on the blade, and the symbol on the scabbard was defected from the imprint
The katana had the wood inside the scabbard was cracked and the blade scratches from it as well as it catches the sawdust from the cracks

These guys are awesome. Well crafted, they feel sturdy and not cleap. The blue in the blade is really pretty and the hilt and handles are incredibly intricate and pretty. not to mention they mirror House Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima, they are an awesome decoration!

The blades are beautiful, seem to be perfectly balanced as well. I have not yet been able to cut with the Katana yet, but I have a feeling it will perform satisfactorily, although it does need a little sharpening, and I do wish there was a Hamon, but you get what you pay for. Maybe next time i'll fork over a little more money and get a custom piece.
