Excellent quality sword blade. These swords come sharpened. The handle is low quality and made up of Styrofoam and 3 of 4 katanas have 2 nails in the handle that are exposed to the eye and touch when holding the katanas. Given this, I would purchase again even though the handles are low quality. The quality of the blades make up for the low quality handle. You get what you pay for and for 4 swords at under $400, these are in incredible deal. If you are a fan of Zoro's beloved swords, these are a great option while having functional capability. These are NOT to be brought to any type of convention and most local laws do not allow carrying in public. If you are looking to purchase as a collectors item that will not be brought out of the home these are a great addition to your collection. The shipping was as expected and was stopped in NY customs.

When opening the blades out of the scabbards for the first time BE WARNED... there are protective plastic sleeves on each of the sword blades, I presume to not damage the scabbard from the excess amount of oil that they are shipped in. Please make sure to not let the plastic protective coating fall into the scabbard as it is difficult or in some cases impossible to remove once you have sheathed the katana into the scabbard without realizing and the plastic will become stuck at the bottom of the scabbard.

All in all, I would purchase again if it was necessary or as a gift, but if you are looking for the BEST quality handle, you have to be willing to pay more elsewhere and may not find Zoro's swords made in a full katana's quality as these should cost $400 each and the market is limited on the buyers side.

It would have been 5 stars just for the incredible value of the deal. But it stopped just short of perfection. When the delivery was left just barely inside of the fence, where any1 walking along the sidewalk could easily have taken it. I was not even informed that it was delivered. If I had not taken my dog out to the yard to go. I'd never known of the delivery. Secondly, I understand you get what you pay for. But the swords were not all I was lead to believe. The edges were kind of dull. The grip on 1 was very loose. I had to rewrap it myself. And 1 of the swords does not stay in the sheath. Kind of like the sword is too small for its sheath. Again, I get that you get what you pay for. And despite my complaints. The value I received was incredibly awesome. But I will have to really consider very carefully whether or not to order from TRUE KATANA again, in the future.

These swords are absolutely gorgeous. I was tossing up getting these for a while, and I am glad I finally did. They are beautiful and look great on display. My only drawback is two of the swords are rather difficult to unsheathe. I am not sure exactly why and the other two are perfect. I hope they match in time, but at the end of the day they are mostly for display so I do not mind terribly.

The katana and tanto looks great. The only problem I had with the katana is that the measurements are a bit off so the katana can easily slide out of its sheath by its own weight. Other than that I would recommend this set for anyone.

I’m not really knowledgeable about katanas and swords, so keep that in mind when reading my review.
I personally think these blades look great as decorative pieces. Hang them on the wall, and give them a good dusting every once in a while, and I say this because these don’t really seem like “real handcrafted Japanese swords” or whatever they are labeled as. They’re definitely heavy and made of some sort of metal but I guarantee there are real or “true” katanas out there that cost way more and could slice like butter. Speaking of slicing these do feel relatively sharp (and dangerous if in the wrong hands) but I have kitchen knifes that are way sharper than this. However all that being said I find these to be beautiful art pieces and that’s really what you should take away from this review, I have them sitting above my TV in my living room and my friends love looking and holding them every-time they come over. The swords are stunningly beautiful and some of the work on the handles are gorgeous. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of what I would call false advertising and the fact that the stand came about a week and a half after the swords did, but due to shipping delays across the globe that’s excusable. Also it’s definitely worth pointing out that these were most likely made in China, as that’s where the shipping originated from.

Great swords… amazing quality. Only con is some of the wooden sheaths sometimes like to stay stuck on the sword when sheathed. Takes a little “hmph” to unsheathe them but the swords won’t be sliding out which could be seen as a good thing. Other then that the swords are great and fun to swing around.
