An exquisite craftmanship, very sturdy, genuine materials and really beautiful.
Only one point of disappointment, and it is a major one for me;
like written in your description of this Tanto :
- "razors edge sharp"
- "battle-ready swords"
- "built for cutting" (?!)
- "extremely sharp hand honed edge".
I am afraid it is not true.
I own a Katana with those qualities and this Tanto is not near
to cut something at all. It is even dull at some points to say the truth.
....but 4 stars anyway because it is awesome for display.

The items is nice, scabbard fits and holds well. Good ballance. Grip feals great. I would take this blade into battle. The little details make this a 3 star review or I would expect a better quality for the price point. They used too much glue, it seeped from places leaving a bead around the edges. There appeared to be something on the brass before they blackened it, that rubbed off and revealed a untreated surface or blemish. Minor scratches on some parts of the tang part. And it radles, somewhere in the handle something makes a rattling noise when you swing it side to side or quick rotations in the rust.

You get what you pay for. It’s a $70 tanto, certainly sharp and cool, but straight out of the packaging with messed up leather under the wrapping and the leather looks like white styrofoam.

order arrived in record time.Ordered a pair of tanto, both of which were in very nice condition and SHARP...these blades will be remounted with upgraded koshirae...although the stock fuchigashira are quite nice.

We do love this tanto and shipping was great however there are just little things on the handle to not get a 5 star. (Still totally worth the money and a great piece) but you can see some tool marks on the handle and it should’ve been wrapped where 3 of the pins were not showing.
