The items is nice, scabbard fits and holds well. Good ballance. Grip feals great. I would take this blade into battle. The little details make this a 3 star review or I would expect a better quality for the price point. They used too much glue, it seeped from places leaving a bead around the edges. There appeared to be something on the brass before they blackened it, that rubbed off and revealed a untreated surface or blemish. Minor scratches on some parts of the tang part. And it radles, somewhere in the handle something makes a rattling noise when you swing it side to side or quick rotations in the rust.

I’m no sword expert but my boyfriend is really into Japanese samurai so I brought this for his Christmas present. As far as I can tell the quality is amazing, beautifully patterned Damascus, sharp even edges and a good solid feel. The blade was oiled for protection and all the details are beautiful. It was thoroughly packaged for protection and delivery to Australia was quick. I personally had no issues with delivery or customs. Thank you so much for the beautiful knife!

The first order a full-size katana was exceptional, I mean it was/is perfect. The craftsmen and artists who made it must be commended, beautiful work. The tanto sword not so much. The tsuka mountings, fuchi and kashira, extend above the tsuka-ito and make it uncomfortable to hold. The habaki fit to the saya was loose and the blade rattled in the saya but I was able to fix both. The sageo wrap on the saya was loose but I can tighten it myself. It appears the attention to fit was a bit off as was the quality control for that sword. But I understand we all have off days. At first glance the tanto looks good and when displayed with the katana as intended it will do.
On the upside dealing with TrueKatana was a pleasure! Thank you.

Top quality blade, with nice finishing touches round Fuchi and Habaki.
That said, pattern on Fuchi looks more Chinese/Korean than from Japanese origin.
All in all very happy with this purchase and will add to my collection from True Katana.
