Decent quality but it would be nice to know that it shipped from china and takes 6-8 weeks to arrive and is only shipped in styrofoam and tape.

The sword is very nice & was packaged quite well. I like the weight & the blade is sharp.r
The only thing I seen was a hole in the bottom of the tsuka (hilt).r
I am looking forward to cutting with it in the spring.

received my order a little over a week ago. The sword is beautiful and well crafted, more than I expected. One problem though, the handle has about a two crack and a hairline crack on the scabbard which I'm having repaired, a minor inconvenience considering the overall appearance is a real compliment and I understand things just happen, no negative reflection on your company, the item is a very beautiful piece and I'm very proud to own one. I received the sword in a very timely manner. Getting shipped from China and arriving on my doorstep in a little over a week is pretty dang good. The sword overall is really sturdy and everything fits well. The only two gripes that I have are that the the piece that fits on the bottom of the handel wasn't ornamented. The other is that the blade is dull,dull,dull! I've ordered a sword previously from True Katana and that blade was great! I will have to get this sword sharpened or I've just bought a very expensive butter knife. By the way.. I love the instruction booklet. Don't put the sword in your mouth lol!

This is the first katana I have ever bought and understand this is in no way a battle ready or perfectly hand crafted weapon, but I do think there should be more attention to the finer details like the handle being offset from the blade. I also know this is not a traditional handle design for a katana and while it is off centered and slightly loose it feels amazing. Other than that, this thing is extremely sharp and near perfectly balanced. The tip did roll slightly, not 100% sure on what as I try not to hit hard things with this sword, but it's also $200. All in all 7/10 mainly because of the off-centered handle. I will definitely buy from here again. Fast shipping, and arrived in perfect condition.

Blade edge is quality. Scabbard is quality. Handguard looks great. This handle is metal tube with studded rubber overmolding. Really lets your palm dig into your grip point. Wooden peg meguki. Screw on cap as the pommel was a minor pet peeve… the handle wasn’t exactly centered precisely about 2-3 mils deviation but doesn’t affect my swing just an aesthetic flaw. Also the habaki wasn’t fitted properly so it moved around maybe 1-2 mils towards the spine/edge, and .5 mil horizontally. I fixed it by making shims from wood and wedging them between the habaki and blade. No more movement after that.

Beautiful sword. Love it. The only complaint I have is it doesn’t like lock it self into the scabbard it easily falls out. But with it always being on display I should have to worry it’s just the thought it could fall out at anytime was kinda concerning for a minute but overall it was what I wanted.
