The blade is forged from T10 carbon steel and put through a clay tempering process with a water quench, producing a naturally occurring hamon line that runs along the length of the 52cm nagasa. The tsuka is wrapped in black cord tsuka-ito over a PU black samegawa base, following a traditional diagonal wrap pattern that provides a firm, consistent grip surface. The full tang construction runs the entire length of the handle, ensuring structural integrity throughout the piece.

A black iron tsuba with an ornate scroll cutout design separates the blade from the handle. The gold-tone habaki sits just above the tsuba, creating a precise visual transition between the polished nagasa and the all-black fittings. The contrast between the gold habaki and the surrounding black ironwork is a defining detail of this koshirae.

The saya is built from hardwood and finished with a premium natural lacquer coating in black, giving the scabbard a smooth, even surface with a subtle gloss.
