T10 Carbon Steel Katana with Real Hamon - Black & White Vine Saya, Flower Tsuba

The blade on this full tang katana is forged from T10 carbon steel and heat-treated to produce a real hamon - the natural temper line visible along the edge is the result of differential hardening, not an etched pattern. The chrome-finish blade runs 41 inches total and carries a hand-finished edge ground by experienced swordsmiths using traditional methods. The tsuka is built with white ray-skin wrap beneath a tightly wound black cord ito in a classic diamond-lozenge pattern. The contrast between the pale samegawa and dark ito creates the crisp graphic rhythm visible along the full handle length. Fittings are alloy with a gold tone, visible at the habaki just above the tsuba.

The gray alloy tsuba is cast with a floral relief design - chrysanthemum-style blooms and fine engraved detail fill the surface in a style consistent with traditional koshirae aesthetics. The saya is the most visually arresting component of this piece. Constructed from hardwood with a lacquer finish, it is covered edge-to-edge in a bold black-and-white vine arabesque pattern - dense scrollwork and botanical forms contrast sharply against the light ground. The black sageo cord is attached at the kurikata and knotted in the style of the overall monochrome scheme.
