This Saya is flawless and beautiful. The blade is light and elegant and the pattern steel is stunning to look at everything is tight and flush and the cord on the Saya is two tone of a thick high quality, there is a slight difference in the grinds on the blade, but this is definitely one of my favorites.

The Saya has flawless paint and components, fits snug and flush, the katana seemed to have the slightest of a bend about 8 inches from the tip but this is spring steel so I'm not to concerned. It is easily wielded with one hand with great balance and because it's not my t10 work of art I plan on using it for practice cuting and dismantling eventually. The grip is tight with excellent finger grip. The hand guard is solid and tight.Just toothy sharp but I can remedy that. For the money it's an excellent sword.

Under close inspection, it will not impress; but if you need it for some kind of costume, or you want it mounted beyond someone's reach, it works great.

It would NOT be good for a cosplay at a public comic convention though, because the blade is real metal. For those, you need wood or plastic.

I wish I had a picture to show how beautiful this katana is. I spent more on this one and the quality difference was immediately apparent when I pulled it from the Saya. The hamon is beautifully crafted and the blade is mirror polished with minimal scratches.The curve of the blade is extreme and awesome. It feels incredible and nimble in my hands. It is so far my centerpiece of my collection and although I know it would cut beautifully ,I don't want to damage this artwork. Ok with that being said the Saya was a disappointment, all the components of the Saya are great however the seam of one side was obviously apparent and had very rough edges along the seam almost sharp and the fit of the Saya is very tight which I'm not sure is a bad thing as long as it holds together. I'm very happy with quality and craftsmanship of this katana so I'm ok with the flaws in the saya but a little surprised it wasn't caught before shipping.

Sword was in great condition, tightly packaged, with no flaws. The blade was sharp to the touch and covered in protective oil in a plastic sleeve. The scabbard was covered with plastic that was easy to remove as well. The box itself that it came in was stryofoam, was taped several times around and was form fitted to the actual sword. The box did smell really weird, so as a heads up would recommend opening outside then bringing it in. Other than the smell though, the sword was in top condition for the price asked.
