Placed the order on July 14th and received the sword today. Apparently when TrueKatana says "in stock" that means in stock in China.....still, the tracking was not bad at all, I could log on and get info anytime, right up until delivery. I admit I was apprehensive about paying this much for a Katana, but I have to say that it has exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with this purchase. r
The fit and finish is absolutely perfect, I cannot find a flaw in this blade, handle or scabbard. It even came with a neat silk lined case that I wasn't expecting. The Hamon is perfect, the blade has a beautiful taper and it is true to all the features of a WWII type 98 Shin Gunto. Anyone worried about the quality matching the price should buy with confidence, you will not be disappointed with this Katana!!!!!!

The Tsuka of the Katana is absolutely astonishing... upon holding it firmly, I get better grip than with other swords I tested, so I was positively surprised. The Blade itself is absolutely beautiful... it was a present for me father, and he is crazy about it as I am.r

so I bought a $ 1000 t 10 katana super sharp, owned a cheap 200 three sword set that was a gift several years before and the new katana I just received makes the others feel like a cheap children's toy , that actually broke some pieces off. this is the real deal, the fit and finish are very clean and well done, the sword has a real nice balance , im no expert but a way better feel than the others I owned.. I am going to buy another from them later but I cannot decide if the 3000 sword is really worth it . oh lastly the sword was shipped to Fl in about 4 days , kinda was shocked how quick.

My katana arrived exactly as described and pictured. The first thing I noticed was the weight. It is heavier than expected but very well balanced. Some people say the hamon is etched and not real. I have worked in the steel industry for 25 years and can say it is truly heat treated. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I have already ordered another sword less than a week after I received the first one. Shipping time is slow but it actually ships from Longquan and not a warehouse in the states.

Over all a very nice blade. Cuts well. Only small gripes. The habaki is not flush with the spine of the blade and the knot on the rear of the handle wrap came undone. Neither hinders the functionality and it is a very nice piece for the price. Very happy with my purchase.
