Beautiful sword but when it arrived in the mail, the box was cut open and sword cover is wooden and it was cut off at the top so it was a little damaged from shipping, I emailed customer service and they offered a partial refund, so I’m glad they took into some consideration, great customer service and the sword itself is beautiful, very well made

Overall, this sword looks great. The pictures on the website are pretty accurate and, if anything, undersells how good the sword looks. It arrived at my house in great condition and was well packaged.
The few misgivings I have about the sword have to do with two main issues I experienced:
First, was the fact that despite the claims of this sword having an "Extremely sharp hand honed edge" according to the site. Mine would not manage to could through anything. I'd equate it's sharpness to a decent butter knife before I described it as "extremely sharp". I can run my finger along the length of the blade with decent pressure and not have any mark whatsoever. This isn't a huge deal however since I don't actually intend on using this sword for any actual cutting, but the inclusion of that line on the product description page was a bit misleading in my opinion.
Second, and more importantly, is the fact that it seems like the sword seems to *barely* fit inside the scabbard that it came with. Upon drawing the sword for the first time, I thought that they had put some sort of lock or catch on the scabbard to keep the sword in it. It turns out it was not, and it just took an unreasonable amount of force to unsheathe the sword. It has loosened a bit over time, but the sword still takes a large amount of force to take the sword out and put it back into the scabbard (you can't push out the sword at all with your left thumb like you always see people with katanas do, you have to pull it decently hard with your right hand in order for it to move). This has already started to seemingly wear on the gold part of the sword that extends past the tsuba and goes into the scabbard. This will not really matter if you plan on hanging this on a wall or in a mount in the scabbard, but if people want to see the blade itself and you keep taking it out, then it will start to get scuffed with time.
So in short, if you plan on keeping this sword up on a display and either never take it in/out of the scabbard, then I would easily recommend this. If you are planning on keeping this in the scabbard and taking it out somewhat often to show people or to look at yourself, then you might want to look at a different one, and you should not expect this to be "extremely sharp" as the description says.
These issues may just be issues with my particular sword rather than a systemic issue with all of these swords, so do with this information as you will.
