It’s heavy enough for cane defense.
Inner hardware is sturdy.
When opened up as a pole-arm, the Ninjato feels graceful while stabbing and thrusting. I find this to be a very fun weapon to have and look forward to incorporating this piece into my practice.

When it arrived there was a couple cracks in my scabbard causing it to release a little loosely but I addressed it with TrueKatana Customer service and they sent me a new scabbard free of charge! Well packed and quickly shipped. Well fitted. Not as sharp as I expected from some of the reviews I read, but sharper than the general run of blades online.
I was surprised that there was a burr on the tsuba edge, but to get a simple iron tsuba I would put up with a lot more than that. Well pleased.

I bought this sword it arrived quickly, the package was wrapped well , unwrapped, came with instructions on maintenance ( Important , I have a few edged weapons and maintenance is priority regardless of use ) I set it out , wiped down the blade , inspect it for defects , this is solidly built , it has sat out for a few weeks and tonight took it thru it’s paces , balanced , sharp enough and handles well , I would recommend glove or lightly resin hand for use , it’s a reliable training piece , As with all edged weapons of this type , the first hard hit will tell the tale .. Good job , I’m looking at another now
