The blades are the selling point here. They are a lovely deep-blue with a slight reddish purple gradient in the light, with a striking pattern down the spine. The pattern is adhered very well to the surface. The grips and fittings are a bit on the cheap-side but they are designed for "minimalist, tactical use" so they may just what some people are looking for. The blades are still full tang, as evidenced by the great balance point.r

This is a hidden gem. I feel like it resembles a "Dao" in many ways, but the blade does appear to have a traditional katana-style taper. This Sword is very beautiful to look at and very sharp to the touch.The only reason that I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is beachside there were a couple of pieces that were not fitted properly onto the scabbard and came a little loose which I had to fix myself.Other than that this blade is a work of art and would highly recommend.

Sword is well made with beautiful damascus finish. However it is not sharp as I thought, esp for this price. I had to file the tip to form a sharp edge, then resharpen it using a Whetstone. If this is sharp out-of-the-box, I would give it 5 stars.

Most of the blade I liked except for two things.The first thing I had a problem with is that TrueKatana describes this weapon as a short sword which is why I bought it but it is in fact a dagger,not a sword.The second being that the pommel is quite ugly but also not practical.It is shaped like a suction cup and is not blunt or pointed in any way.I was a little disappointed but I will be keeping the blade.Another thing I would like to point out is that the blade is Damascus Steel which is also not in the title but it’s not heavy Damascus steel it’s very light.

Beautiful sword! And it arrived very quickly - in time for Christmas, which I appreciate. My tip for others who buy this item is to look for the plastic inside the scabbard (before putting the sword back inside!) I suspect the plastic is there as a wrap around the blade, but the first time I took the sword out, the plastic stayed inside the scabbard. Not understanding this, I put the sword back in, pushing the plastic wrap down to the bottom of the scabbard. Just something to be aware of for future buyers.

I got the sword when it was scheduled to arrive and it was a great purchase. It looks exactly like the pictures. The sword is beautiful and pretty much exactly what I wanted. It’s heavier than I expected but they did say what the total weight of the sword was, I just didn’t know what it would feel like. Everything was accurate to the description as well. My only complaint is that the blade is not as sharp as advertised. I’m not saying it’s dull, but it’s not razor sharp like the description said it was. It’s not a huge deal because I’m not going to fight the Mongols with it. I would give it a 4.5 stars if I could, but since it isn’t perfect, a 4 star is the next best thing. If I want another sword someday, I’ll probably use this site again.
