Product Details

The blade on this ninjato is forged from high manganese steel and finished in a deep blue tone that runs edge to spine, interrupted only by the bright wavy hamon line etched along the cutting edge. That undulating temper line gives the blue surface a layered visual depth - light shifting across it differently depending on the angle. The full-tang construction runs the entire length of the handle, ensuring solid structural integrity from tip to pommel. At 41 inches overall and 3 lbs, it carries the proportions of a functional-length ninjato while remaining a refined collectible piece.

The tsuka is wrapped in a traditional diamond-pattern over white PU ray-skin (samegawa), using black cord with white menuki accents placed at the standard crossing points. The wrap is firm and even, with the ito pulled tight enough that the samegawa diamonds sit cleanly in each window. This black-and-white handle combination provides a sharp visual contrast against the blue blade.

The tsuba is a round iron piece finished in matte black, with open crescent cutouts arranged symmetrically around the center opening. It sits between a natural wood fuchi and the blade with minimal play, giving the koshirae assembly a grounded, uncluttered look. If you're exploring similar iron tsuba configurations, the Blue Manganese Steel Ninjato collection covers several variations built around this same guard style.

The saya is crafted from hardwood and finished with a piano lacquer coat in dark blue - the same tone family as the blade, which makes the paired set visually cohesive when sheathed. The gloss finish reflects light cleanly without blemish. A braided sageo in black and blue cords wraps around the saya opening in a bulky, knotted style, adding texture and a deliberate asymmetry to the otherwise sleek scabbard. For more ninjato options featuring this dark blue scabbard treatment, see the Dark Blue Scabbard Ninjato collection.

Shipping dimensions are 43 x 4 x 4 inches at 4 lbs. The sword stand or holder is not included. This piece is suited for cosplay, themed display, or as a focused addition to a ninjato or blue-blade collection.
