The blade is forged from T10 carbon steel and heat-treated with an oil-quench process that produces a genuine hamon line along the cutting edge. The contrast between the hardened edge zone and the body of the blade is hand-polished to bring out the natural visual texture of the steel, giving the chrome-toned nagasa a depth that sets it apart from machine-finished alternatives. The tsuka is wrapped in black tsuka-ito over a white PU samegawa base, forming evenly spaced diamond windows along the grip.
