Sword is well made with beautiful damascus finish. However it is not sharp as I thought, esp for this price. I had to file the tip to form a sharp edge, then resharpen it using a Whetstone. If this is sharp out-of-the-box, I would give it 5 stars.

Lovely sword, I'd give 4.9 stars if I could. Fast shipping for the long way to Germany (it came somehow from Malaysia!?). Only bad point, it came with a few scratches on the blade. But I like it way too much to send it back and when training a lot, more will probably follow anyway... The workmanship is not quite perfect, there are a few edges between metall and wood at the hilt, but it lies good in hand. Good balance point also. The value-for-money ratio is totally good. I'm pretty sure I have the most beautiful Taiji-sword in the world! Thanks!

It is not perfect, I didn't expect it to be, though it is exactly what I ordered in a time when crafts so often don't reflect quality. This sword is not just a collector piece. Most of the blade I liked except for two things.The first thing I had a problem with is that TrueKatana describes this weapon as a short sword which is why I bought it but it is in fact a dagger,not a sword.The second being that the pommel is quite ugly but also not practical.It is shaped like a suction cup and is not blunt or pointed in any way.I was a little disappointed but I will be keeping the blade.Another thing I would like to point out is that the blade is Damascus Steel which is also not in the title but it’s not heavy Damascus steel it’s very light.

The sword arrived a little later than I had liked. To be fair however, I ordered it during the holidays, so given that, the shipping was decently quick. The sword itself was in good shape. No rattling, the fittings were tight. The blade had a few blemishes near the point, but that isn't too big of a deal. The blade isn't as sharp as I was hoping, but still decently sharp, so I can't complain. Overall, good experience and good sword for the price range. I'm happy with the purchase.

Otherwise it looks great.
Once it's sharpened a little more, I see what it actually does.
