The Saya has flawless paint and components, fits snug and flush, the katana seemed to have the slightest of a bend about 8 inches from the tip but this is spring steel so I'm not to concerned. It is easily wielded with one hand with great balance and because it's not my t10 work of art I plan on using it for practice cuting and dismantling eventually. The grip is tight with excellent finger grip. The hand guard is solid and tight.Just toothy sharp but I can remedy that. For the money it's an excellent sword.

Blade edge is quality. Scabbard is quality. Handguard looks great. This handle is metal tube with studded rubber overmolding. Really lets your palm dig into your grip point. Wooden peg meguki. Screw on cap as the pommel was a minor pet peeve… the handle wasn’t exactly centered precisely about 2-3 mils deviation but doesn’t affect my swing just an aesthetic flaw. Also the habaki wasn’t fitted properly so it moved around maybe 1-2 mils towards the spine/edge, and .5 mil horizontally. I fixed it by making shims from wood and wedging them between the habaki and blade. No more movement after that.

Shipping was fast!! I bought this as a practice sword, and it is fine for that. Overall, the sword is of quality construction. Keep in mind that this is a $100 sword. The blade still has a lot of grinding marks that need to be buffed out and the edge was not done well. Most of the edge was jagged rather than finely honed and was not sharpened from about 6 inches from the tip. Also, the balance is a bit far forward making it feel a little heavy. For me, that's okay because it is for practice and it makes my good sword feel lighter. Also, it glides in and out of the scabbard like silk but falls right out if tilted forward. Finally, the spine is a little wavy rather than straight. Again, it is a $100 sword, so I don't expect a fine finish, and IT IS GREAT FOR PRACTICE. Would buy from this company again.

I have to say that when I got this sword , i thought it was beautifully made and it is. However when I tested it on a 1gallon jug of water it cut through it just fine but the edge rolled significantly in some places. I don’t know what to do about it. The blade, I thought would be able to handle cutting through a simple gallon of water. Perhaps this is best used as a wall hanger. It is definitely not “battle ready” or razor sharp. It is sharp though and quite beautiful but now my blade is ruined
