Product Details

The blade on this katana is forged from T10 carbon steel and finished to reveal a genuine hamon - the undulating temper line visible along the chrome-toned nagasa is the direct result of differential heat treatment, not an etched imitation. The steel holds a refined, hand-finished edge and the hamon pattern carries a natural, irregular character that varies along the blade's length.

The tsuka is constructed over a full-tang core with white samegawa (ray skin) as the grip foundation. Green tsuka-ito is wrapped in a classic diamond pattern over the same, producing a firm, textured grip surface with good hand feel. The handle assembly follows traditional koshirae proportions, balancing the 41-inch overall length without feeling top-heavy.

A black iron tsuba with ornate scroll cutwork separates the handle from the blade. The open-work scroll design gives the guard visual depth without adding bulk, and a gold-tone habaki locks the assembly cleanly at the blade's shoulder. The metal tones - black iron, gold habaki - ground the more colorful upper and lower elements of the koshirae.

The saya is hardwood lacquered in a warm amber-orange and hand-engraved with dragon imagery across its full length. The engraved figures are rendered with clear detail against the lacquer ground - a deliberate visual centerpiece of this Marble T10 Carbon Steel Katana design. A green-gold braided sageo is knotted at the kurigata, echoing the handle's color scheme and completing the two-tone contrast.

Overall length is 41 inches and shipping weight is 4 lb. This piece is designed for collectors who want a green-accented koshirae with a visually striking saya - the dragon lacquerwork and hamon blade make it a display-grade katana with authentic construction details throughout. Sword stand not included.

  • T10 carbon steel blade with a visible real hamon - the wavy temper line runs the full length of the chrome-finished nagasa, a hallmark of authentic heat treatment craft.
