The tsuka (handle) is wrapped in black cotton cord over real white samegawa ray skin, using a traditional diamond-pattern (hishigami) wrap that leaves the ray skin visible between each crossing. The wrap is firm and consistent along the full handle length, with copper fittings at the habaki and collar positions.

The tsuba is the visual centerpiece of this sword's fittings. Cast in a gold-and-black finish, it features a raised dragon relief set against a scalloped black background - a classic motif in Japanese sword mountings.
