I have been learning the tai chi sword for about one year and had been using a telescopic sword for practice. I am very happy with my new handmade, stainless steel Chinese tai chi sword with brown scabbard. The sword arrived quickly, in about a week after placing my ordering. My Sifu examined it. The handle was a touch loose; he tightened it for me. Otherwise, he said that it was a good sword and right for me. The calligraphy on the sword is beautiful and authentic. The scabbard is also beautiful, with plum blossoms, a symbol of the new spring, and beloved in Chinese and Japanese culture. I bought a black sword bag, which also came quickly. It has the kanji for "Dao" or "Way" and gives my new sword the protection and respect that it deserves. For now, the sword is a bit heavy but this serves as motivation for me to practice and improve. I ordered the glaive and as for the weapon itself, I don't have any complaints. It's tall and has some real heft to it and it was sharp enough for me to make a few practice cuts in the styrofoam box it came in. Now my only complaint would have to do with the packaging. I understand "packing with care" but putting it in styrofoam packaging and completely covering it with packing tape was too much. Styrofoam got everything and was somehow cut up inside getting tiny pieces on the glaive and scabbard, and overall was just a mess to clean up, and the packing tape was a hassle to cut through when you don't have a box cutter or durable scissors.

Lovely sword, I'd give 4.9 stars if I could. Fast shipping for the long way to Germany (it came somehow from Malaysia!?). Only bad point, it came with a few scratches on the blade. But I like it way too much to send it back and when training a lot, more will probably follow anyway... The workmanship is not quite perfect, there are a few edges between metall and wood at the hilt, but it lies good in hand. Good balance point also. The value-for-money ratio is totally good. I'm pretty sure I have the most beautiful Taiji-sword in the world! Thanks!

Had to remove casting metal and some wood from the mouth of the scabbard in order for the sword to fit both ways.
Otherwise it looks great.
Once it's sharpened a little more, I see what it actually does.
It looks and feels really good.

Sword has grinding damage on both sides of pommel. Appears to have happened in manufacturing. Sword is beautiful and it unfortunate that there is damage by the hands and is noticed when holding the sword. I have reached out to costumer services and hopefully I can get the pommel repaired or replaced. Please advise on next steps. I have several more pics if needed.

I got the sword when it was scheduled to arrive and it was a great purchase. It looks exactly like the pictures. The sword is beautiful and pretty much exactly what I wanted. It’s heavier than I expected but they did say what the total weight of the sword was, I just didn’t know what it would feel like. Everything was accurate to the description as well. My only complaint is that the blade is not as sharp as advertised. I’m not saying it’s dull, but it’s not razor sharp like the description said it was. It’s not a huge deal because I’m not going to fight the Mongols with it. I would give it a 4.5 stars if I could, but since it isn’t perfect, a 4 star is the next best thing. If I want another sword someday, I’ll probably use this site again.
