Hattori Hanzō or Second Hanzō, nicknamed Oni no Hanzō (Demon Hanzō), was a famous Ninja of the Sengoku era, who served the Tokugawa clan as a ninja, credited with saving the life of Tokugawa Ieyasu and then helping him to become the ruler of united Japan. He is often a subject of varied portrayal in modern popular culture. Hanzō was known as an expert tactician and a master of sword fighting.
I bought this sword for my husband because he loves the show Demon Slayer and has been asking me to gift him a sword for over a year now.

The sword arrived as scheduled, which was pretty darn fast. The boxing, padding, and Styrofoam kept everything snug for shipping. No dings or marring on any pieces.
As for the sword itself, it's a well balanced, sharp, and overall aesthetically pleasing to look at. Absolutely gorgeous!
I was somewhat baffled by the accompanying literature of do's and don't's. It cautioned to not take the katana apart. That was one of the things that I was looking forward to with my first real katana. I've owned a ninjato and currently have a cheaper non full tang katana that's glued together, which I can't take apart. Be that as it may, I am still extremely pleased with the katana.

My first Naganata. I'm hooked. The most solid and we'll balanced sword I have purchased yet. The wooden Saya is a thing of beauty. The entire sword is gorgeous from top to bottom. It came perfect out of the box. Sharp, no rattles, fits perfectly in the saya. It will be my main blade to practise with going forward. Great job!

Sword was very well made, however the packaging was a little poor as the tsuba had worn a hole in the styrofoam and the paint on it rubbed off.
