This company is great! This is my 4th sword from them, I even was fortunate enough to buy the Tibetan Warrior/Hunting sword that was limited. Had a full size katana, Wazikashi and now this Tanto. The tanto was beautiful exotic wood grain looks and feels great was a little loose in the scabard but used the old samurai wax trick and now it's good I'm not sure what the wood is maybe tiger wood but is super attractive and with a couple of coats of oil it is amazing blade is razor sharp I've already ordered some other pieces from true katana as there selection and unique designs are very cool and the pricing is good something for everyone at different price points I'm glad I stumbled onto true katana as for shipping this item took about a week

My order came out beautifully. Very pleased with it. My only question is whether the swords are really battle-ready or not because the website says they are but the pamplet that comes with the swords says not to use them to cut, slice and that they are for display over. I bought these as backup weapons to my guns so if they aren't battle ready that would defeat the point. But they are beautiful indeed!!!

The Tanto sword is high quality and well-finished. The package arrived quickly.
Unfortunately, the wood sheath arrived with a seven-inch crack along the bottom.
The crack is where the Tanto, when in the sheath, has the sharp length of the blade.
I intend to keep the Tanto because of the high quality. It is first-rate.
If another wood sheath with a black gloss finish is available, please let me know.

Very pleased with the Tanto; the Fitment and workmanship is excellent!
There are only minor 2 niggles...
There several small black spots on the silver tsuba (possibly paint , as
I could not feel an edge to the dots, which I would have felt if the plating was failing).
the second niggle...it is kinda sharp, but should have been sharper...
Minor, in my opinion...The Hamon is beautiful, The blade is well polished, and
the overall feel and balance is very good...
Will purchase from TrueKatana again.
