If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. For my first sword buying experience, I regret ordering online but I’m glad I ordered thru TrueKatana. As someone who never owned a sword, my initial impressions were blown away upon delivery. My only issue with the handle itself is that the Tsuba & Habaki don’t match the picture. The 4stars in my review are from the fact TrueKatana was also EXTREMELY communicative & responded to my emails swiftly during the shipping process. All in all, I’d buy again!

The handle and blade are both sealed in plastic so could not feel either one. I did see the blade has be wrapped in oil I was impressed by that. I bought this because it was almost identical to one I purchased on Amazon. But this one said it was Damascus. And I got it and the case seems to be better quality a lot thicker but the blade was shorter even though it said it was longer than my other one and the balance of the blade is far to the left. Instead of balancing out like my other one. I have heard a lot about true katana and assume that maybe you just have to have a high price one to have it balanced like my cheap Amazon one that honestly works amazing for $120 where this was supposed to be $200 normally but was on sale. Honestly I'm hoping the Damascus stays sharp but it didn't come very sharp so I might need to sharpen it and hopefully it will maintain the blade. I just hoped for more out of the price.
