I ordered a Katana and a sword stand. However, the sword stand couldn't deliver which was unfortunate but it was made transparent to me with an immediate refund. The quality of the sword is really nice for the price. The shipping costs were unknown until after the purchase, which would have been nicer to know beforehand. For the rest, very nice quick response times :)

I bought this Katana as an 18th birthday gift for my son. He’s very involved in martial arts and things of that nature. He went and found the Katana and asked for it as his gift. We were actually blown away by the craftsmanship and beauty of both the katana and the wooden sheath. The Katana itself is gorgeous and so well made the attention to detail is remarkable. The wooden sheath is stunning and looks like a masterpiece itself. We quickly ordered wall mounts and it’s proudly mounted on my son’s wall in his room. Great overall, arrived super fast! However, I don't know if it was meant like that, but the blade would often hit the scabbard when drawing or sheathing and when sheathing, the fit it a little too tight. Aside from those tiny issues, the blades were crafted very well !

At first the katana its hard to take out from the scabbard so need to trim a little bit in the inside to loosen a bit. Then the piece of wood that is holding the sageo in the scabbard fell off. But all in all the katana is sharp. Good balance of the blade and when you swing the blade it makes a hacking sound, and what I like is the hamon of the blade with a wave like pattern.

Placed the order on July 14th and received the sword today. Apparently when TrueKatana says "in stock" that means in stock in China.....still, the tracking was not bad at all, I could log on and get info anytime, right up until delivery. I admit I was apprehensive about paying this much for a Katana, but I have to say that it has exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with this purchase. r
The fit and finish is absolutely perfect, I cannot find a flaw in this blade, handle or scabbard. It even came with a neat silk lined case that I wasn't expecting. The Hamon is perfect, the blade has a beautiful taper and it is true to all the features of a WWII type 98 Shin Gunto. Anyone worried about the quality matching the price should buy with confidence, you will not be disappointed with this Katana!!!!!!
