This set, however, is of curious origins. The blades look amazing as always, a deep blue with an almost purple hue in the light. The Sakura tattoo on the blade and habaki add a classy touch and the engraved blossom on the scabbard is very eye catching and well done.r
However, the katana only has one mekugi peg so I worry about how full the tang is. It feels solid enough, but the habaki was also loose when I got it, and had to be fixed with a spacer... it seems like a corner or 2 was cut with the katana but again, great looking blade. The grip wrapping feels old, like maybe it's been in a warehouse for a while. Not bad, just not the greatest sword I've gotten from truekatana...r

The Tsuba is a bit thinner than I expected, but that is not necessarily a problem. r
I also note that the balance point is about 5 inches forward of the Tsuba - a bit farther forward than most. It works for me as the sword handles quite well.

Overall a good product. The blade is excellent, and overall workmanship is quite good.r
Two problems observed:r
The Habaki is loose - it slides back and forth on the blade with a noticeable gap between the notch on the blade and the Seppa.r
The Tsuka-Ito is a bit looser than it should be.r
While I can repair both of these I should not have to do so. The assembly should not have passed inspection.

Over all, beautiful blade, fit and finish could be a little better, packaging needs more, the saya had a small chip on the end, the habaki is very loose, and the fuchi is loose, also the tang rocks in the hand when swung, I do understand the price point but everything should still be nice and tight. Other than those issues this is beautiful overall

About this brown Wakizashi: As it was stated to have a 26cm Tsuka, and as seen on the website to have a Bohi on the Blade... I ordered it. All in all, the Wakizashi has been looking awesome in pictures.r

Today it arrived, and unfortunately, the Tsuka was only 21cm long, and the Blade didn't have a Bohi (Blood Groove).r

I ordered from Austria, I had to wait quite some time and was very unsatisfied with the short Tsuka and Blade without the Bohi. Yet, I was very surprised, by how kind, service-orientated and extra-ordinary-professional these guys handled it.r

The swords looks awesome, but still, I was dissatisfied, so they offered me some ammount of refund which honestly, arrived a couple of hours ago. This katana is now my favorite and I've bought over 7 from TK ,the reason is it's special blade geometry which makes it very light and fast with one hand. The hamon and polish are impeccable and the blade a beaty.The other reason is the fit and finish is flawless and especially love the fit of the Saya and its elegant silk string. Wanted to take this opportunity to recommend the t10 folded naginata's I've included, these have the same blade geometry as katana reviewed (which also makes them light)they are 1 3/8" tall the whole way through the blade(which is the same length)opposed to a 11/4" tapering to 1". These naginata's are bigger and badder ,you won't be sorry you picked one up.
