YES THE SWORD WAS NICE, HOWEVER. LAST TIME I HAD ORDERED THIS EXACT SAME ONE. AND IT HAD ONE SPECIAL DETAIL THAT MADE IT MY FAVORITE. IT HAD A FLOWER ENGRAVED ON THE BOTTOM PART. BY THE HANDLE. I ORDERED THE SAME ONE AND NOW THE DISTINCTIVE DETAIL IS MISSING. NOW ITS JUST PLAIN. I Absolutely love it. It has trouble being removed from the scabbard at times, but overall looks really pretty. Very light and feels great in the hands. I bought a display for it in my room and is definitely an amazing piece to look at, plus it's black which is just my style. Katana looks like a marvelous, beautiful piece of art, as is shown in the picture with a great steal. But unfortunately, It was the only best thing about this katana. As I looked at the katana, I noticed some damage in the blade due to the blade rattling in the saya. The Mekugi that holed the katana was forced in, and there were a lot of alignment issues because the habaki was more to the side, causing some handling problems. But with that said, you get what you can expect for this price.

I’ve never owned a katana so this is my first, and I will say, definitely a good starter katana. Not perfect quality, but Is very excellent considering the price. Looks very good as well. The only problem I have is the string on the sheath is very thin and flimsy, and the little gold pieces that are on the hole on the sheath fell right out. But those are easy fixes.
