My only minor inconveniences are that the very tip of the blade is ever so slightly bent, and the sheath has very small damage (most likely from shipping). Other than those two things, everything about the piece is well made and aesthetically pleasing to look at and hold.

I also note that the balance point is about 5 inches forward of the Tsuba - a bit farther forward than most. It works for me as the sword handles quite well.

The blade itself is beautiful And it arrived pretty quick. The fittings feel solid, and the overall aesthetic is exactly what I was looking for. However, the main issue is with the scabbard. Unfortunately, it doesn’t fit properly; the sword shakes inside, and if pointed downward, it falls out on its own. With that said if the saya had been properly fitted, this would have been nearly perfect.

The swords themselves are SUPERB (Jeremy Clarkson voice). They respond quick to any questions I had. The swords are great quality. I can tell that they were crafted with precision and care. The blades are sharp and sleek. The scabbards have as much quality and care as the rest of the blade. r
The only way this experience and product could improve is if they gave me sword lessons from Roronoa Zoro himself.r

If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. For my first sword buying experience, I regret ordering online but I’m glad I ordered thru TrueKatana. As someone who never owned a sword, my initial impressions were blown away upon delivery. My only issue with the handle itself is that the Tsuba & Habaki don’t match the picture. The 4stars in my review are from the fact TrueKatana was also EXTREMELY communicative & responded to my emails swiftly during the shipping process. All in all, I’d buy again!

It’s my first sword and I’m really satisfied with its quality. The materials look premium, the handle feels good and the balance is nice although I haven’t cut anything with it apart from some paper. It’s not as sharp as I would have wished it to be and it has a little chip on the apex, which may have occurred from transportation or from sheathing/unsheathing, but nothing that can’t be fixed with a little patience and sharpening. Regarding transportation and sheath; the package was simple, foam wrapped in tape, the sheath and handle were wrapped in plastic, BUT, the blade was coated probably with an anti corrosion oil and wrapped in a plastic foil; the sheath feels a bit on the big side as the blade kinda wobbles inside from left to right and sheathing/unsheathing leaves chips of wood on the apex.r
I love the pattern on the blade.r
All in all, I’m really satisfied with it as a first purchase, and I’m really curious and excited about buying a tamahagane blade in the future.
