Overall great quality, but some minor defects. The blade it not completely straight; it curves slightly to the left. Also, the tsuba is slightly bent. However, I'm still very happy with the purchase.

The day I received my Katana I went for a walk in the woods with it and very much enjoyed it. Cutting the thistle vines was great and the sword seemed to have life. When I would cut a relatively tough vine the sward felt like it had a kink in it, like a hickey on the blade and after a while it would go away, like the katana healed from the trauma.

Very sharp, well made and came in a reasonable time frame. The blue one (TK-JP-G10003) on the top came with a lot of oil on the blade but can be easily cleaned off.
The picture didn't really capture the blue color very well due to the lighting but has it has a tinge of purple in it.

I love it. It’s my first katana, and actually ended up being much bigger and heftier than I expected. Very sharp, haven’t tested it under much pressure though. - I made a second purchase of a short tanto sword, and excited to get it.
Oh and my order shipped the same day I ordered it on a Thursday, and arrived at my home the next day.

I don't know squat about katanas but the site was very helpful. I bought this for my son and he absolutely loves it. Now many of his friends and karate students want one too, so expect more business from Louisville. Once again, you get what you pay for.

I'm only starting to learn about swordmaking and this is my first purchase. It's a great sword it came exactly as pictured. There is a bit of (wood?) Peeking out through the handle that looks like it may have been drilled or should have been covered better but it's hardly noticeable.
Much heavier than I anticipated which makes it feel strong in your hands.
The website advertises them as being battle ready legitimate swords but it came with a tag saying for display purposes only not for actual use, or something to that effect. Which is confusing and slightly disappointing.
The main thing is its a beautiful, solid sword. The black blade is gorgeous and the point is very sharp. The edge itself could stand to be sharper as advertised but it's very good overall.
For the price it's a fantastic starter sword and I plan on adding more to my collection in the future!
