At first the katana its hard to take out from the scabbard so need to trim a little bit in the inside to loosen a bit. Then the piece of wood that is holding the sageo in the scabbard fell off. But all in all the katana is sharp. Good balance of the blade and when you swing the blade it makes a hacking sound, and what I like is the hamon of the blade with a wave like pattern.

My main purchasing factor was that True Katana was the only company selling WWII katanas (olive color, rosewood, etc.), and all of the designs and effects are 100% accurate, with the reasonable exception that there is no stamp on the blade (but that's expected, because those forges did not make the blade). With that being said, for what this is, it's well worth the price. r

Also, shipping was very fast considering it came from China to America.

Beautiful sword! Love everything about it, except for the chips of paint that were showing the silver metal beneath it upon me opening it up. I hate that I can’t post more than one photo since the tip of the blade and a few cm below it are also chipped spots. But everything else I love!
